I know that "code" is not always translated correctly which creates "glitches." You can reset most of the "glitches" by exiting the game without saving, and restarting again (not over, just the game). The "base" game was patched to almost perfect, then 20yr is release & dang if it ain't got the same errors in it that the "base" game had already been patched. There are "glitches" with each player's game no matter the platform. Whereas the second time was just after having picked up the first part for the bolt action rifle, which afaik, also has unique skills attached to it that do not exist on the basic assault rifle you have at the time. Originally posted by RiO:I don't believe it is the availability of the crafting tools. I reached this conclusion because the first time the notice bugged out, I had just picked up a part for the compound bow which, afaik, has a few skills attached to it that don't exist on the bows you have at that time. I believe that when your inventory is stripped this glitch is reset and when your inventory is later restored the same bug does not trigger, because the restoration procedure doesn't follow the same code path as picking up the individual parts from the a strong box. My current hypothesis is that it has something to do with collecting weapon parts for weapons and the game mistakingly 'unlocking' any upgrades unique to the finished weapon prematurely, i.e., before the weapon is actually finished and before the player would be able to call it up in the UI to inspect and actually buy the upgrade. The game then played fine while doing sidequests and unlocking all possible upgrades on all possible weapons, until the point where I pushed the story and had to traverse the copper mine and escape from Trinity's drilling operation gone awry, at which point the bug had somehow resurfaced. (You keep all your resources used for crafting, which I always found kind of weird from a story perspective.) Nothing else changed except the reset in the weapon inventory and swapping out the make shift bow for the standard recurve bow. I then kept track of it and the bug stuck around until the point where Lara is taken prisoner in the Gulag by Trinity and your inventory is taken away to be restored a bit further into the story when you make your escape with Jacob. First time I had noticed this bug was when finishing the Ancient Cistern below the heart of the Soviet Installation area. I have this exact same issue on the PS4 20th anniversary edition. I don't believe it is the availability of the crafting tools. I can't shake the feeling I'm missing something, probably a simple answer. The only logical conclusion I can deduce would be the game is mistakenly telling me of an unavailable upgrade for the compound bow or semi-auto pistol which it thinks is available, but the upgrade really isn't since I haven't constructed those weapons yet because I haven't found all the parts for either one hence the possible bug. I have clicked on every weapon checking all the attachments or modifications and none are available for me to choose. Also, none of my current weapons have the blinking exclamation point above it in the sub-menu so it is making me wonder why it is telling there are upgrades when I don't see any I can select. I reach a base camp and there is the blinking exclamation point telling me there are upgrades available for a weapon, but when I click on weapons there isn't an option for any new upgrades. I just started playing and I'm in the Soviet Installation area. Maybe someone in the community can help me figure this out or may have experienced something similar.
